Giganti & Giganti is a family-owned jeweler serving Springfield, Illinois with nearly four decades of fine jewelry expertise. Carl & Gwen Giganti lead a small, tenured team of engagement-ring specialists, luxury watch experts, and an in-house jeweler — so your ring is designed, built, set, and serviced under one roof.
Engagement rings are the heart of what we do. We keep a wide selection of designer engagement rings in stock at all times — Martin Flyer, Sylvie, Gabriel & Co. — and we design fully custom engagement rings around the stone and silhouette you have in mind. Either path runs roughly the same money; you’re paying for craftsmanship either way.
Most custom rings are ready in three to four weeks at a price that reflects what the ring actually is, not what a chain store charges. Custom Ring FAQ
What people ask before designing.
- How long does a custom engagement ring take?
- Most custom rings are ready in three to four weeks once you sign off on the CAD design. Rush timelines are sometimes possible — talk to us if you have a specific date in mind.
- Is a custom ring more expensive than a designer setting?
- Not necessarily. Custom rings cost roughly the same as a comparable designer setting at the same metal weight and stone size — you're paying for craftsmanship either way. We'll set the budget upfront and design to it.
- Can I use a stone I already have, like an heirloom diamond?
- Yes — heirloom resets are some of our favorite work. Bring the stone (or the existing ring) into the showroom and we'll examine it, walk you through setting options that work with its dimensions, and design from there.
- Do you offer lab-grown diamonds, or only natural?
- Both. We source GIA-graded natural and lab-grown diamonds and let you compare them side by side in the showroom. We'll be honest about the trade-offs of each so you can make the right call for your budget.
- Do I have to come to Springfield to design a custom ring?
- Most of the design conversation happens online, by phone, or over video — so out-of-town clients are common. You'll typically only need to visit once to see your center stone in person before we cast, and then again for pickup.
- Will I see what the ring looks like before you make it?
- Yes. Every custom ring goes through a CAD rendering stage — you'll see photorealistic 3D renders of the exact design from multiple angles before we cast a single piece of metal. No surprises.
